Information regarding Examination results

August 17, 2020

As you are aware the examination process this year has been very different due to the Covid-19 outbreak, results this year are based on Centre Assessment Grades (CAGs) which have been moderated and adjusted by exam boards. I know there has been a lot of media coverage of the exam process this Year but I would like to reassure you, that we will be available to support your child should they need us.
Further to our letter home in July, results will be released this year on Thursday 20 August 2020. The distribution of results will be electronic, learners will be able to download their results from 8.00 am through the trust Beehive system. We are not able to print results slips and hand out as we have done in previous years, learners should access their results through Beehive.
There will be staff available on the day to offer guidance and support as needed, you will be able to contact us by phone on results day if you need assistance. There are several key changes to the examination and results process this year, most notably, the post results services will operate differently as there are no scripts to review.

We know this process has been hugely different this year and may have caused some anxiety, please rest assured that we have worked extremely hard to ensure that you are awarded qualifications in-line with your hard work and efforts. Some students may still wish to sit the exams, and Ofqual have announced that a full suite of exams will be available in the Autumn term in November which will allow you to sit an exam and be awarded a grade through examination, they will start on Monday 2 November and finish on Monday 23 November.
The deadlines for entry for GCSE will be Friday 18th September except for • English Language and Mathematics, which is the Friday 9th October. The exam boards will post the timetables on their websites and contact centres about entries in due course. You will be able to enter for exams at your current school. Details of fees and arrangements will be communicated in the Autumn term.
