AT OUR SCHOOL... we believe with A PROUDER WAY learners can achieve anything. Through promoting the values expressed here our young people not only succeed academically but also socially, spiritually and culturally.
Martin High has a strong community ethos where each learner is part of a caring school community. What this means is that learners are able to access layers of support for both their academic and pastoral needs. We recognise that starting a new school can be both exciting and a little daunting but our transition programme ensures that learners feel confident in their school environment at the start of the academic year.
We pride ourselves in knowing every individual; which helps to ensure that everyone is successful and happy during their time at MHS. Central to our beliefs as a school, every learner has the right to good quality teaching; an aspirational environment, educational opportunities and a close knit school community here a sense of ‘real’ belonging leads to everyone achieving. Here at MHS we want your five years with us to be challenging, exciting and filled with achievement. We look forward to meeting you all and welcoming you into our school.
We are constantly looking to review and improve our parent-teacher communication and collaboration at the Martin High School. We truly believe that we can make the difference to your child’s progress by working closely together with you as a parent or carer.
At the Martin High School we try to keep parents, pupils and anyone interested in the school well informed. We hope you find everything you need.

We are very ‘’PROUD’’ of our learners and have high expectations for all in our school community. We wholeheartedly believe that all learners at Martin High School can achieve future success. Our learners are about to embark on the most important part of their education so far. They will be able to shape their curriculum and match it to their future aspirations. This process requires careful consideration and thoughts by you and your child.
As a Year 8 learner we require you to pick one early entry course to be completed in Years 9 and 10. We also require you so show preferences for the options you are planning to pick to study in Years 10 and 11 - please note as this stage they are only an indication and can be changed in Year 9 if required.
